Fantasy Sports

I am a big fan of basketball. The sound of squeaking sneakers on the hardwood, the surge of strength it takes to get a bucket through hard contact, and the look in someone's eyes when they know they can't guard you are only some of the many things that make it such a magical sport. 

Since I moved to Sweden, I have not been able to watch as much NBA basketball due to the 9-hour time difference. This has been especially tough because the 2024-2025 season in the NBA has been nothing short of magical. Game-changing trades, historic seasons, sudden downfalls, and remarkable comebacks have made this season a must-watch for basketball fans everywhere.  

Not being able to watch this season, and missing performances and storylines because of that, got me thinking. What would sports headlines sound like to someone in a fantasy world? The Timberwolves from Minnesota have defeated the Warriors in Golden State? That hasn't happened since the days of Sir. Garnett. A school of Marlins takes on a pride of Cubs in their environment? Talk about a fish out of water. 

This page will be for sports headlines from all sports in our world that I think would make for an interesting fantasy subplot. Kings will rise, Angeles will fall, and the Wizards will probably still suck.
